Did you pull this list off in 5 days?

Yep, started at Wed lunch and finished with Sunday lunch. NO BREAKFAST MEALS or inbetween snacks. Not a bite before lunch.

Oh, I forgot that after Casamento's, we hit Hansen's for a small snoball. That was dessert.

I did not. Have had it before. Too much bread burying the succulent fried oysters for my taste. We had chargrilled oysters, fried crab claws for apps. I had fried oysters with a side of soft shell crab. No fries. That's my standard order there.

Wink, make a reservation for a special occasion. The menu is really good right now.

I'm going to try and make "dirty grits" soon. I figure, at worst, I can use the dirty rice base from Hebert's in Maurice and add it to a good pot of grits. Those were mighty tasty.

I think you've convinced me to make this my birthday meal. I had heard it was a new menu. So glad you were able to show it to us! Thanks!

The dirty grits were a side dish?

The dirty grits come with the pork shoulder dish, but it is also a side dish. There were several side dishes on the menu.

ETA: They aren't overpowering. They are good grits with some dirty rice flavor. They wouldn't overtake another dish. I think they'd be good with grillades. Just another layer of flavor for those.

Thought this would be cool to post here. My mom's sisters took her to CP for her birthday lunch couple months ago. It was a milestone year so they decided to do this with the menu after having the chef sign it Happy Birthday.

I think that's a great gift. I have several signed menus from there, but I haven't done anything with them.
