Heading to Columbus on Memorial Day for the week to watch some golf. Staying in Short North/Italian village area. We’ll be there Mon-Mon and will have car but can also Uber.

After brief research I have made reservations Wednesday night at Alqueria Farmhouse Kitchen and Saturday night at VASO (in AC hotel Dublin)

We’ll be meeting up with some cousins of Mrs Coater Thursday for a cookout and Friday night will be spent at the Bogey Inn.

Probably will get in late Monday night so we’ll probably grab something in Short North like Bodega near our Airbnb.

We can cancel/change Wednesday and Saturday night if they’re not deemed to be solid choices. Open for suggestions Tuesday and Sunday nights. Can be casual or upscale.

Also looking for best beer bars/breweries.

Thanks!

I've never heard of Alqueria Farmhouse or VASO, but dont live in Dublin.

Some good breweries near you:

Columbus Brewing Company
Wolf's Ridge (good brew pub downtown, near you)
Seventh Son
Elevator
Brew Dog
North High

Short North offers a lot of dining and drinking options.

I'd explore German Village if you have a free night. I'd recommend Lindey's patio for a more upscale dinner, great ambiance, then go to a bar after (Club 185, High beck, Victory's, Low beck, etc.)

ETA: Looked Alqueria, it's by former chefs at Barcelona which is another great restaurant in German Village. I havent been there(Alqueria) yet so cant comment.

Thanks Kosmo—I was hoping you’d chime in

The only place I’ve been to in German Village is Schmidt’s so we’ll find some time to explore it more

Seventh Son

Rockmill Brewery for Belgian/Farmhouse beers, beautiful place and worth the drive to Lancaster.

Hoof Hearted for IPAs

Wolf's Ridge for brunch and beer

Pretentious Barrel House was a brand new one when I visited. I'd put their sours against anyone

North Market was a very neat food/vendor hall for lunch. Best Polish food/pierogi I've ever had in there.

I'd do Lindeys patio if its nice out (get a reservation) then walk to Club 185.

Definitely do Wolf's Ridge for brunch if you can. Good food, good beer.

wasn't sure what this means so I looked it up.

This is a good discussion on this type of pizza.

Very sweet sauce/crust.

I know one of the owners. It's a good pie. They are bringing back up the area by Planks. Even though it's just down a few blocks from German Village it was much different.

Theres a new brewery over there, Parsons North Brewing. I've been once, its decent.

Many people don't know this but Columbus is the most populous city in Ohio. Twice the size of Cleveland.
