First time face to face meeting with a client there next week. My company nor I ever go up there and I'm in need of local place with good food. Not flashy, but not too noisy so we can talk. Clients not from there either, as clueless as i am. Will only be a party of 2.

The place downtown that used to be a bank. Haven't been to Alex in several years so it may be closed but if not it was fabulous.

Diamond Grill is nice. Can't help beyond that. Maybe, just maybe, some locals will help you...

just go to marksville and eat at red river grill.

janohns is a new restaurant in boyce. I think the owners have done a pretty good job with it and it has a cool atmosphere.

Just take them to Copelands. At least you know what you're getting.

Copelands is a safe choice. Comfortable environment. Bistro is right by the airport if that's a plus.

Verona is good food, but kinda weird décor.

Copelands is good for client lunches, and the food is decent.

Spirits, but get there early, or late.

Oriental Wok....quick, and really good

Bistro on Bayou is doing Lunches, haven't been there in a while.

If they are country boys, Paradise Catfish over by the Alex wal mart is good.

Brocatos and Red Kettle are great plate lunch places, not really client type places though.

The Cottage is good, but I hate the inside of that building, it is just like Verona inside...just a weird vibe.

Word of Mouth downtown by courthouse is good, kinda a upscale plate lunch spot.
