If you want it cleaned so be it, a four inch grinder with a "tiger disc"(made of multiple pads of emery cloth) available at HD, Wally, Lowes, or any good hardwear store. It will be very clean.

I have an aluminum pan with holes that I use to grill fish. Carbon residue is tough to scrape off before putting it in the dishwasher. If you don't pre wash the dishwasher won't do the job.
Last night I got a crazy idea. I put the pan on the lowered door of the washer and called the labs. They licked it for about 20 minutes. I turned it over and they licked it another 20 minutes.
Then put it in the washer and ran the cycle. Came out perfectly clean!

why would you want to?
I don't. I figure I kill anything in my pot everytimes I put the jet under it and roll a boil. Come to think of it, I've never had anything go in it that's made it out alive.

I meant why would you want to clean the water stains out, to the OP.

Find a janitorial company by you and get some stuff called aluminum brightner. Stuffs amazing. Cleans your metal pots and pans, anything. Buddy of mine cleans his horse trailer with it. Looks brand new after.
