I'm sure I'll be in the minority here, but of the 3 listed, I prefer Church's. The Church's on Acadian near Govt. used to have killer fried livers, but they took them off the menu and after that I never went back. Haven't been to any of the 3 in years, as a matter of fact. If I eat fried chicken in BR, it's from Chicken Shack. In NO, it's McHardy's. But Gus's in Memphis destroys them all.

I couldn't tell you the last time I ate chicken from Church's or KFC. McHardy's is the way to go if you're in New Orleans.

Popeyes
Churches on Government near Jefferson is the best Churches I ever ate, though I think they have their own recipe because all other Churches I have been to taste nowhere near as good as that one.

Popeye's chicken with church's side dishes and biscuits.

Frenchy's chicken, popeyes mashes potatoes and gravy, popeyes red beans, church's and frenchy's biscuits.
By the way, what ever happened to popeye's biscuits? 10 years ago they were like manna from heaven; now they're bleh.

I'm from Alabama via Mississippi with family in Louisiana but Chicken Mary's in Pittsburg, KS is the best I've tried.

Popeyes rules
Red beans as side - always - as good as any you'll eat IMO
Oh Chicken livers require a trip to a gas station with a chicken counter beside the cash register. They always have the best fried livers you'll find. JoJO tater logs at those places and a white roll on the side - no side sauce please, Just some salt and a diet dr pepper

I think they put a touch of some kind of liquid smoke in their red beans. The size of their sides has dropped considerably, though.

I know, but IMO their red beans is the best side any fast food place in existence offers.
