I gave up on Chinese buffets a long time ago, I cannot imagine being disappointed by them, my expectations are to low. Speed and feeding trough quantities are about the only reasons I can think of for their continues existence, the food itself is marginally inedible.

My last 2 experiences were Great Wall and Oreintal Pearl on Coursey. The OP was disgusting and GW is just overcooked boring slop.

If you like it fine, you don't have to worry about my butt getting in your way at the trough.

I'm a big fan of Nine Dragon, but you have to go right when their buffet opens at 10am or at least around noon. I've gone there around 2:30-3pm a few times and it sucks when all of the food has been sitting out there and you're only getting the remnants of each selection.

No, I love good Chinese food, ei. Trey Yuen. If you're talking about buffets I think that's unfair to discredit an entire cuisine by judging it on the buffet style restaurants. That's like going to ryan's and then saying steak sucks.

Trey in Mandeville..maybe still? Haven't been in ages.

But, Trey in Hammond has been total garbage for over five years now, sold it to cousins? Awful, ,it's fall from former level to it's current status..shocking!

Friends in Hammond, and I, love Green Leaf..it's Thai..off W Thomas.

I'm talking about the one in mandeville, even though I haven't been in several years. I'm just saying that it's ridiculous to judge an entire cuisine on buffet excuses for that type of food.

Rex, NO has really great Vietnamese food. Kind of a combination of Thai and Chinese. Very good. If you want Chinese don't do take out. Go eat in. China East, Royal China, China Blossom and Five Happiness are the four best in NO for Chinese. Don't do take-out or delivery to get the best available.
