MD, that last picture looks like my kind of chili except I like tomatoes in mine. I like beans in there. It's also more expensive if there's no beans.
I put your recipe in the recipe thread, but please check it to see if I got the amounts right.

Not chili unless it is cubed buffalo.

Looks like a damn good chili. I never can find masa at my local grocery , so as a substitute I take tortilla chips and throw them in a food processor and get them ground as fine as possible then stir into the chili.

I'll never admit that I am.
Am I in trouble over there?
I will say this about it. The matter was discussed by the Grand Jury, but an indictment has never been returned. As far as I know, the district attorney is chasing other ghosts now.

Our subdivision has a really strong HOA and it is against covenants to shoot them in the common areas.
Ask Coater. He knows how difficult it can be to hunt in my subdivision. His wife got arrested for poaching snipe over here last year.

Got some still simmering. I prefer using chilis and cubed beef, but I made some ground beef chili last week actually. Whichever one I want depends on my mood
Here's what I've got right now. Just posted the recipe in the other thread.

Chili may have started as a certain thing, but it has evolved.
People that say its not chili, if it has beans in it, are idiots. Its still chili. It may not be your kind of chili, but who gives a frick?
I like every kind of chili. With beans or without. With buffalo, or coyote. It Doesnt matter.
ETA: As long as you dont put American Cheese Product on it. I wont eat it then.

Traditional chili is cubed beef not some old ground meat.
And I crush Fritos in mine instead of masa

This is my point. Who cares what is traditional, as long as it is good?

But if it's not cubed it's not good. No beans or tomatoes either. No chili powder either. Just ground chilis.

You’re right, but try to say this to the gumbo and jambalaya peeps on here
I prefer traditional with cubed meat and real chilis, but I will crush some “chili sauce” type chili. Just no beans cause I don’t like them at all.
