Great event - ate too damn much and will probably fast most of today. Agree with comments re too spread out. Looked like a good turnout but really hard to judge given the length of the area where it was held. Need a few more beer vendors (or, use a smaller portion of the park).

Yeah I felt like they should have had every vendor in the middle w/ the stages on 2 ends. It was a pain w/ it being so spread out.

They should have had the tents going down the middle of the field and pulled that left perimeter in a few hundred yards. Easy to say now though

I was at the Capital One stage. Were you with the group that had the reall hot brunette in w/ cowboy boots, jean shorts, and a black North Face jacket or w/ the group w/ the guy w/ the obnoxious LSU Hawaiian shirt?

ETA: Next year I'm bringing a chair or a blanket or a hammock that ties to a tree (saw one guy w/ one of those).

Agree with wise they could have used an option besides Nola beer or vodka.

Also I didn't find the competitors to be very creative this year. Too many places with a simple pulled pork w/ coleslaw and a lot of it was bland. Only two straight up pulled porks I had that had any kind of deep smoky flavor like it was actually seasoned and slow cooked were Bites and Booze and Porkenheimer.

The huge vast middle space was very underutilized for sure. Agreed bringing the far ends together in the center would be cool.

Glad the weather held up. Had a great time no doubt.

It was a pulled pork taco and pulled pork sandwich lovefest.

BTW, what's w/ the lack of sweet tea? It's BBQ! Sell some damn sweet tea. And everyone who sold lemonade, the lemonade tasted like watered down country time.

I still drool when I think about that biscuit from cowbell though.

Naw don't know her. I had my chair but for the most part stood behind that group with my friends. Just knew the guy with the LSU shirt.

What was on that biscuit exactly?
