go to thecrawfishguy.com and download the app.

App will ask for your zip code and you can tap choices for boiled crawfish or live crawfish from your location. The app will give you prices also.

Damn, that's cheap compared to the $6/lb boiled I'm seeing here in the Laffy area.

ETA: $29-$31 for a 5 lb order.

What?!? Are you talking about a sit down restaurant? Must be.

ETA: Saw your edit. Yeah, you will pay a crazy premium for that.

It's early in the season and prices are high.

I talked to someone today who paid $18.99 for a 3 lb order (boiled) last night at Crawfish Time on Ridge road. The prices are mostly upwards from there.

Yellowfin, you are in the business right? When Sentrius says you pay more for healthy crawfish what does he mean? Do y'all click them in races and grade them that way? Stress tests? EKG?

some retailers will drop the price after they've been in the cooler a couple days just to get rid of them and half the sack will be dead, size determines the price later in the season

eta: i'm not in the business, just know a lot of people that are

Treadmills for crawfish are ridiculously expensive (made in Norway of all places). Stationary Bikes are the way to go...........if you want to produce PREMIUM crawfish.

shite, half the time I think people just eat crawfish so that they can tell everyone and their grandma that they had crawfish in early February. The pricing mechanism doesn't make just doesn't make sense. It's not THAT good.

ETA: I love me some crawfish boils.
