Ceramic VS Copper

I need to get a good nonstick pan and don’t want the old Teflon coated pans. Basically looking for something to cook eggs in without making a mess. I’ve never used the as seen on tv copper pans before but I have used some ceramic pans while on vacation. The condo we stayed in were stocked. They seemed like they were okay but, they still stuck when I cooked eggs. My wife liked the ceramic because they were lightweight and she wants to get a whole set so she won’t have to use any of my Magnalite or Cast Iron. What would you suggest for a lightweight set of nonstick cookware? I still wouldn’t get rid of my Magnalite or Cast Iron but, I’m open to trying other nonstick cookware. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg for a 2nd set of pans though.

I would recommend not buying expensive non-stick cookware.
It loses it's non-stick properties in a short time. You're better off buying cheap, and replacing more often.

That’s kind of what I’mbthinking but, I would like to have something that will actually be nonstick. I have no issue with throwing a cheap pan away and replacing it with another cheap one.

Green Life Ceramic
Has anyone used these before? For the price, it looks like a good deal if they are any good.

I bought a copper chef pan...the coating didn’t peal but it started sticking within a couple of months.
I’ve come to the conclusion non-stick pans just aren’t for me. I’ve been using a carbon steel pan for about a year now and I’ll likely never buy a non-stick pan again. It’s a little more maintenance, but it will last a lifetime, and it’s pretty cheap to buy one.

TFAL is the answer. It is neither ceramic or copper. It is not a typical Teflon coated nonstick. I don’t know the technology but it is super nonstick and you can use metal utensils in it. Plus it’s inexpensive. You can find them everywhere

I bought the square copper one and it's been great so far. Perfect for cooking bacon first then eggs.

That's the one I was talking about. Has a red dot in the center. NOTHING will stick to these, plus you can use metal utensils without worry.

Do they hold up well? I read where you shouldn’t use olive oil on these because it breaks down the nonstick coating. Have you had any issues with the coating breaking down?

What breaks up the non-stick coating is too high of heat. Not the fat.
