Anyone changed from the SS cooking grate to the cast iron?
I'm about to get one for my BGE because I love cooking on cast iron and will use my other rack as a fabricated raised grill.

Just looking for some feedback. TIA

My opinion ... if its not broke don't fix it ... the price tag on it doesn't make it appetizing either ... everything comes out amazing with the stock grate

I got a cast iron heat deflector after the ceramic one broke... I haven't used it to cook directly but it would probably work really well for steaks.

Still use the original SS cooking grate though.
