I know that I very much dislike brothy soups with cajun seasoning and vegetables.
For example, not at ALL a fan of traditional vegetable soup. Corn.. and potatoes.. no no no.
With or without the fish, I know from personal experience with that type of soup that it's not something I like.
Adding fried catfish to it only makes it worse for me.
I hate when people refuse to try something too, don't get me wrong. But I think it's a case-by-case thing.

I agree there, but saying that you know that you dislike a certain aspect is different. I originally said that I like all the ingredients listed and that I would try this dish. If there is something specific that you can single out about this one dish then that is a different story.

I agree with you FWIW.
I don't think this is the case:
... Not after the millions of long threads we've had regarding his food. MD knows some of the stuff he makes will warrant hate from 90% of the board. And if he doesn't care, good on him! I've stopped caring if he truly wants to share it.
But I still think he knows what he's doing and I don't see why people defend him when others say something looks bad. He knows what he's getting into. He doesn't need anyone's help/knighting.
