Grind that shite down. For $10 at Harbor Freight you can get a grinding wheel and some sanding pads.

You need to sand the cooking surface smooth. Then re-season the pan with the crisco. You can use a sanding disk on a cordless drill for that small area pan. Harbor Freight has them. I do this to all my new cast iron pans. Just a suggestion.
