Looking for suggestions for craft beers to have someone pick up for me in Houston area. Brews I can't get in Baton Rouge. I don't know all that is available. i know about regular releases from Ballast Point, Deschutes, Firestone Walker, Odell. Any other breweries or special release stuff I should be thinking about? Citrusy IPAs and flavorful stouts are what's on my mind. I appreciate any tips.

I thought Lone Pint Jello Nose was the only answer.

asking someone to go get growlers filled for you would kinda be a dick move

Oasis Meta Modern and Slow Ride are nice
Lone Pint Yellow Rose is really nice, and Jabberwocky is available around town
Let them know to be mindful of dates on Firestone Walker, I've seen a ton of old Double Jack on shelves
Karbach has Weekend Warrior, Hop Delusion and Staycation out now

can't really help you with stouts, I haven't looked for any of those for a while now

sure

"Hey, if you happen to grab a bite at Petrol Station or Hughie's, please pick me up crowler of......"

that being said, i see little different in asking someone to go to spec's smith street vs growler shop. if i am asking someone to get me beer, i am asking them to hit smith street.

But the Gooseman said Hughies wasn't good. I hope OP doesn't send his friend there.

Real Ale 4 Squared has a new recipe that brought it close to IIPA levels at 7.2%.
Good stuff.

If they are doing me that favor I don't ask them to go to a certain place, just stop where it is convenient

Not authentic, that is all. If your friend has had authentic Vietnamese they would not be impressed.
