Anyone eat there?

Ate there tonight. After reading/ hearing about it, and after much fanfare, I left there very much underwhelmed. Wife (no pics, sorry) and I ordered all “Chef’s Favorites”, Crab Bisque, Crab Cakes, Eggplant w/ Crab Sauce, all had very little flavor. Wait staff, however, was excellent...

Chargrilled oysters, seafood gumbo and ribeye cap. Stick to those next time, and you’ll be begging for more.

For me it was the opposite on my last trip there. Outstanding food with horrid, deal breaking service

I always get the crawfish and crab nachos + soft shell crab special or this special of angel hair pasta with shrimp tossed in a crabmeat cream sauce

The service was so bad last time I went that I swore I wouldn’t go back. Glad to see they’ve turned it around.

Went last weekend. Chargrilled oysters, zydeco shrimp appetizer and the gumbo were delicious. Bread pudding was great. My brother had a ribeye and loved it.
Service was very good.

Probably depends on your waitress. When we went a few weeks ago, the bartender was extremly friendly and attentative. We should have just eaten at the bar so she and her helper could collect the tip for the meal.

But when our table was ready, we left the bar. The waitress we ended up with was horrible and completely acted like she didn’t give two shits about us being there. Meanwhile, we watch tables near us who had a different waitress, and she constantly went by rheir tables asking if they needed anything and always with a smile. On her way to one of her tables, she even stopped at ours to fill my wife’s glass of water, because she noticed it had been empty for a good while.

We tipped the bartender very well...but our waitress was lucky to even get anything. I felt bad about “undertipping” her, because you never know if some of that goes to other staff like dishwashers and such, but her service honestly wasn’t deserving of any extra money.

We’ll be back, though, and will probably just eat at the bar.
