Anyone ever had a good brown rice boudin?
I just tried to make it. Not satisfied with the texture.

Do you like brown rice?
Because I hate it and a big part of that is the texture.
IWNEI, sorry.

Most likely try the cauliflower rice version ifirst.

I’m with Rat. Boudin is a traditional food. It doesn’t work when you substitute normal rice with brown rice, cornbread, etc. & it doesn’t work with seafood instead of pork.

Brown rice tastes like hay. Cauliflower is like little white trees.

I knew better. I just didn't check inventory before starting. It was basmati, brown or go back to the store.

I’d have gone basmati ten out of ten times in that situation.

Brown rice is never, in any situation, a substitute for white rice.

I have Type 2 diabetes......white rice makes my blood sugar go sky high. Brown rice does not and is delicious. I've never tried it in making boudin. Jambalaya it's great.
There are many situations where it's better.
