Costco doesn't run sales, but they are usually as cheap or cheaper than any sales around.

Walmart usually has good prices if you don't mind buying meat from them.

I've not seen anything near a sales price at Costco so perhaps that is the downvoting you are experiencing.

What price at Costco do you believe to be "cheaper than any sales around."

Prime briskets for $3.99 to $4.99 per lb.

Nobody here will ever explain why they downvote.

I checked Costco over the weekend. Prime brisket is up 50 cents a pound since Thanksgiving. The current price is 4.79/lb

That's been the price at the BR Costco for over a year now.

The FnD board loves to downvote for some reason, yet I'd bet most eat at McD at least 2x per week.

The cheapest I've ever gotten them from Costco was $3.99 a lb. for USDA Prime Brisket. I called my brother-in-law and he had me pick up 3 for him and I got 2 that day.

Most of the time it's $4.75 to $4.99 a lb.

That's within the range I posted. I would love to know of any local prices, sales or not, that anyone has seen cheaper....choice OR prime.

You could google weekly ads for local grocery stores like Rouses, Winn-Dixie, Canseco's, Robert's, Zuppardos, etc. if in the N.O. area.

The sales start today and continue until next week when the new ads come out. Sometimes they only do certain things from Friday-Sunday, but most of the time their specials run for the entire week.

I've seen the same for Select cut at Rouse's. Sometimes just over $5/lb and packaged like shite.

Early-COVID you could still find brisket at Costco for $1.98/lb at random times. I've seen maybe $3.99/lb one time in the last year and I will take that as my new sale price.

Lots of stuff went up to stupid levels the past few years and history has taught me on thing about commodities, it's once they go up, they NEVER get back down to the pre-price rise level. They may come down a bit, but never to where they were a couple years ago.

Another thing about briskets. If smoking one and the long time process of low temperatures, it really doesn't matter if Prime or Choice since it comes out the same is my experience.
