I've done this before, cooked the biscuits for five minutes first for textural purposes. Had bacon instead of sausage but add White sausage gravy to the top when finished.

We do it all the time when we have a houseful. We use cooked bacon or ham cut up. Never had a problem w/biscuits not cooking. We only use about 6 eggs.
