I think your right. Do you remember the what a burger. My mom owned dunlop pet shop for two years on that corner. When I was a kid we use to walk down plank all the time. Today you would get killed.

Yes, and I remember walking across the tracks to
a store and look at the tv's back in the mid 50's.
May have been a Western Auto on the corner of
Choctaw and Plank...

Even earlier, in this same block of Tigertown, Baker's. Best in Tigertown of the 1950's and 60's.

I used to love the food there, especially this particular grilled shrimp app that I'd just get as my meal...I know it's BWW now, but hasn't that place had several other names? I'm drawing a blank as to what they were.

Not sure about that location, but there was a burger place on Plank across the street from St Gerard and a little to the right where the Burger King is (if burger king is still there) called The Chuck Wagon.

Need help with two that aren't mentioned.

1st, there was a semi-fast food restaraunt on Florida about parallel with Independence park. Sold Arby's style Roast Beef sandwiches (but better quality) and some really awesome apple turnovers. 80's?

2nd, there was a Baked Potato place named Hot Patat or something like that that had really good potatoes and sandwiches. 80's?

Can't think of either's names.

Danvers and Hot Potat was in a two story building by Louies and I believe it was owned by Allan Risher.

Lumms Hot Dogs.

Not sure if Burger Chef has been mentioned.

Little Italy on Allelo Drive off Florida.

The bar at the top of The Republic Tower on Florida at Cloud Drive.

Rips Huddle

Tonga Isle had a clam shell phone booth.

The Rack. Several locations.

Chucks Bar in the back of Tigerland as well as the Tiger Lair.

The Delmont Lounge
