Why would you care if a restaurant had an outdoor seating area that allowed dogs?

I have found that if the restaurant isnt crazy busy and you have a small well behaved dog they won't throw up any roadblocks.

I actually 50\50 on this... There are always 5 dogs or less at the BD anytime I go so its not that bad. Now if there was about 15 dogs, well I would definitely not be cool with it.

Red Zeppelin allows dogs on the patio.

If the dog is laying on the ground or sitting under the table it is of no concern to me.

Barking or three inches from my table is the same for dogs or children.

Bringing dogs to bars & restaurants is trashy

We haven't been there in a couple of years, but Lucy's downtown is pet friendly. They even have a menu for dogs (cut up hot dogs, hamburger patties and chicken breasts). Of course, you have to eat the food there.....

Bringing dogs to bars

the overpass bars will allow some of the regulars to occasionally bring their dog during happy hour.

There is one guy who will bring his big dog to ZZ occasionally who tends to lay right in aisle. I have almost tripped over that thing 3 or 4 times.

They just hired a chef consultant and redid their menu. Had a burger a few weeks back that was pretty legit, and cooked to order.

Portland is just about the most dog friendly city I've ever been too. People bring their dogs everywhere with them - Home Depot, restaurants, the airport, it doesn't matter. 99.9% of the people who bring their dogs out in public have well-trained dogs, so it's cool.

The one thing that bothers me is the people who have their dogs sitting in their laps with their heads out the driver's side window while they are driving. Especially when it's a fairly large dog...

I might be wrong but I feel that people who bring their pets to bars have some sort of separation issue with their pets. If you want to take your dog out in public, there are many fine parks to go to rather than a bar\restaurant

It also seems like it would just be a hassle the whole time but I have never owned a dog...

Well, we went in there a couple of Sundays ago for drinks before going to a movie at the Manship. My wife thought the bar smelled like sewerage. I thought it smelled like a rotten potato. Either way, we didn't stay.

That sucks, I went a few weeks back after Live after 5 and didn't notice any weird smell.
