Bourree' in New Orleans

So I was watching Triple D when they featured Bourree'. I'd never heard of them before and did a little investigating. A search turned up this thread from 2015 when they first opened.
According to most, if not all the reviews by FDB'ers, they were underwhelmed. But given they had just opened and with a limited menu that has since expanded, I was wondering if anyone had been back lately and how they currently stack up.
Triple D showed them making a spicy pork meat pie that looked killer and the smoked shrimp boudin, which I would also like to try. Does anyone have a recent review of this place?

I dig it for what it is. I don't recall seeing anyone hate on it here.

I didn't either but...

Left hungry and unaffected by the booze, and am unlikely to return.

I wasn't overly impressed with the spicy buffalo

I went to Bourre and enjoyed the drinks, but was also underwhelmed by the wings. Have had much better elsewhere

I can't see myself headed to Bourre anytime soon after seeing those tiny wings.

I try not to hate on places, but I was very underwhelmed. I don't see it making it unless they make some serious changes.

I wanted to kick my own butt after I left because it just confirmed everything I read on here. I don't know why I bothered.
Those aren't exactly glowing reviews...

Talent chef but just doesn’t put it all together well at this place. Terrible atmosphere.

Hell, I’d go just for these:

Agree the atmosphere is lacking if you’re looking to hang out.
I’ve only been once (I live in Dallas now), but the meat pies were phenomenal. I really like the chef and think most of the menu would be good.
The fresh fruit daiquiris are really good and much better than the sugary icee crap most places have. They also have a handful of beers on tap.
The bartender told me they do a Cochon de lait party with a live band on Sunday afternoons I believe. That would be fun.
Overall, it’s a good place to grab a quick bite and a drink.

I haven't been since I was so underwhelmed at the first location due to the high-cost, tiny wings.
