I had such high expectations for it with the hype it gets on here but just feel like it was way over-smoked. But there tasso was killer.

I feel the same way about Teet's. I went to Teet's for a ponce once and it looked like a giant raisin. Way oversmoked. Now, their pork sausage though, is very good in gumbo and the only one that many people will use. Too much smoke to me however, is sickening.

There are a bunch. Kermit Lejeune's in Eunice, Don's Country Store or Cox's in Reserve, etc

Have tried Veron's (by the levee) and not in the same league as Rabideaux's and Teets IMO. Hopefully, I'll have the pleasure someday of trying the others you've listed.

Bourque's has very good boudin, and they have very good seasoned and prepped meats. Good Sausage.

Also try Coleman's Sausage Kitchen in Iota.

Rita’s Quick Stop in Iota is the best I’ve had lately. Been a Teets fan my whole life, but they are doing something right there. Check them out.

I would much rather have Manda or Savoie’s than Zatarain’s Smoked Andouille. Never, under any circumstances, buy that. It’s hard to describe how bad it is.

Rouse’s was out of large packs the last time I came into town

Rouses sells Best Stop in the New Orleans area at least. Smoked pork sausage, pepper jack variety, and andouille beat the hell out of these other brands.

It’s not near as good as 10+ years ago since they started mass producing and distributing. But it still clearly beats other brands IMO.

I do like Rabideauxs too but depends what I’m using it for. And they don’t sell it around me.

I love Best Stop boudin. Best stuff I have found in grocery stores to take home. I haven’t tried their sausage. I will try it. Thanks
