I'm almost certain when I made this, I scraped the frond into the slow cooker...

You can add the browned or smoked short ribs to your spaghetti and meat sauce.

Instead of serving with mushrooms, I wonder if maybe gouda grits would be a good substitute? But this recipe looks great. I'm just not a fan of mushrooms

You should be able to walk in any specialty meat shop and place the order. They may require a deposit though. Whole plate ribs have more meat over a chuck short rib.

That's all I use to make my rice and gravy now.
My 6 year old noticed one time when I tried round steaks.
About 3 lbs of those dredged in my special flour and spices mix (just whatever I feel like mixed in with flour)
brown the chit out of dat in my enamel pot with just a touch of oil
cut the fire back to me-jee-um and sautee the chit out of a couple chopped white onions
trow a couple cloves of chopped garlic and stir dat until you smell the garlic gud
Dump a bottle of good red wine in the pot and start scraping all the burnt bits off the sides and bottom until it reduces by half
Throw all them browned ribs back into the pot, juices and all.
pour enough good beef broth to almost cover all the meat and let simmer on low for about 2 hours.
Cook some rice baw
Knock yo damn socks off
