Or simply prefers to eat local seafood rather than globally sourced, frozen stuff while living in a seafood producing coastal area. I can understand Bonefishs popularity in, say, St Louis or Cleveland, but I'd rather eat closer to the fisherman. It's an economic decision.

I go there just because of the talent that visits that place.
During the Christmas break last December that place was loaded with fine women.....and it usually is anytime of the year.
Earlier this year you would have thought that the national sundress model association was there for dinner and drinks.....good gawd...

but anyone that snubs nose at bonefish.
I dont think that you are the type that my comment was mention for....You simply "prefer" fresh seafood provided by the local economy...i think that most if can agree I that.
My comment was ment more for the pompous arse type that acts like BF is garbage because it is a chain and it is beneath them so much so that they wouldn't grace BF with their refined culinary presence.

Have eaten at BFs in Orlando, Red Stick, and Katy. Food is ok but nothing seemed to have lots of flavor including the bang bang shrimp.
No need to be too critical. Just enjoy being with friends.

No doubt. The atmosphere at most is pretty festive...if that's the right word.
I normally hit them up when I am traveling. If nothing else it is consistent, way above average for a chain, and like I said, the atmosphere is great.

You obviously are just allergic to them.
I don't prefer shrimp made that way. Before I had ever had the Bang Bang Shrimp, I had the delicious sweet almond shrimp from Zea and it ruined any chance I ever had of liking Bang Bang. I don't like spice as a flavor.. I prefer sweet glazes on shrimp.
I like Bonefish's coconut shrimp with that yummy sauce they serve with it.

Ruth's is also technically a chain
It's not technically a chain. Over 100 locations in more than 25 states and 9 countries.
It may be pretty good, and La. folks have a hard on for it, but it's amazing how people don't want to admit it is a chain. And the money also goes to Florida.
Bonefish is in more than 30 states and probably has 200 locations. It is also good, but it is a chain.

Yep owned by the same folks who brought you outback and Carrabas'. Never understood folks who get caught up in the anti-chain movement. Simple in my eyes, if the food is good service is good then its a good restaurant. Whether there are 74 just like it doesn't matter to me.

I'm with you in preferring Zea's Asian Almond Shrimp over Bang Bang Shrimp.

Best things on the menu are the bang bang shrimp and ahi tuna app
