I find that if the crabs are skinny, the claws tend to fall off more often than when you have fat crabs.

I wouldn't spend $200 on a cajun rocket pot for one boil.

I've heard you can get the double jet burner at Lowe's in Baton Rouge. I got mine from Amazon.

I just got a 100 qt bayou classic pot and a burner from Amazon to have shipped over night

Hopefully I'll get some more use out of it

You don't peel crabs, you pick them.

I've never put vinegar in a boil. Boil 5-8 minutes and soak 15-20 and done.

Had a Supt that worked for me that ran crabs traps with his son, he would put them in pot with liquid boil for a while then bring to boil. Never tried it because I like the boiled veggies in my boil. So not sure on claw loss, but icing them down works awesome. Belly up.
