Ideally I would be traversing to south Louisiana to obtain my fix, but am going to Monroe today and need recommendations on the best place to go for boiled crawfish at a restaurant. TIA

Cormier's is the best in the Mecca area, IMO.

WM....Crawfish City, Monroe...Clawdaddy’s (traditional soak style), Cormier’s (sprinkle seasoned) Louisville Ave Coney Island (traditional)

If you want “to go”, pick up at Randall’s...likely the best crawfish around.

Can you get beer at Clawdaddys now? I know he had lost his liquor license for a while. If you can drink beer, that's where I would go. That place is surprising really good. The crawfish and oysters..

What about Cheniere Shack on the outskirts (West) of WM? (between Well Road and Cheniere exits off I-20 on Cypress/US80, about 1.5 miles from me)

Crawfish App shows Shack is running $4.45/lb boiled.

I’ve never had their crawfish. I’ve heard in years past that they were good.

I thought the sprinkle seasoning was a joke. Then I went to a crawfish boil in Little Rock and they sprinkled it on the crawfish after they poured them out the pot. I about died.

I cannot eat crawfish anymore so I have not tried any of these personally. Ever since I got a bad meat pie at S'port Mudbug Festival followed by bad etouffe in Tulsa I've gotten sick just tasting crawfish. Don't know if actual allergy or just a strong mental/emotional trigger.

I'm partial to Crawfish City as I don't care for having my lips burned off with sprinkle seasoning. But to each his own.

Will hopefully be at CC next weekend for a quick fix.

That's so close to where I'll be, I'll probably just do pick up, then.

Update: we went to Clawdaddy’s.

Oysters on half shell were perfect. I ordered three lbs of crawfish. I’ll say the flavor was great- nice and spicy. They had 2-3 decent sized ones but the rest were small and I swear half my tray were crawfish without a tail. So for my fix, it worked. No good crawfish in Little Rock. But for $7.99/lb to have that many tiny babies plus half of them dead or without a tail, I would have been mad had I been a local wanting a good plate. That’s pretty expensive, I feel like.

Thanks for the recommendation!

Not for Cajun food but it has some perks!
