Hooks to your garden hose to cool the pot quickly.

lol no.

First, I'm not really into making the area around my pots into a small pond, though I know some people in here do spray there pots. More power to them, just not my thing.
Second, this device is just flexible pvc in a hoop with a couple of hooks on it. I could make this easily for under $10 and do it in probably less than 30 minutes. Yet they want $65 for it, or you can splurge and get the "camo" version for +$100 .

All of this plus, I'm never in that much of a hurry to need to cool a pot down fast. It's a leisure outdoor get-together and more soak time = more visiting/hanging out/beer drinking.

It wouldn’t be $10, but it could be done in not much time. It would depend on the price of the hose you buy just to cut it all up.

I don't disagree with the ease of making it, just the price. But this is the same guy that can't fit 30lbs of crawfish in a 80qt pot, so I assume he couldn't do anything

I always looked at that crawfish washing tub as a dumb gimmick. A friend of mine brought one over for a boil the other weekend. It works extremely well. I'd buy one of those before a boil boss.

Yeah, I could. PVC is cheap. I just made a manifold for my own crawfish washer, much like the commercial one, for $6 in parts from lowes.

And to clarify, I found out my pot was 60 quarts, not 80. Not sure why I had thought it was 80 for several years. It's the first and only crawfish pot I've ever had, and was given to me as a gift.

Show me a parts list to make something exactly like the boil boss for $10. Should be simple.

Dude it would simply take probably a 6ft piece of 3/4" pvc and about (6) 45* ells, one tee and a male-by-threaded bushing. Have you ever been in a hardware store?

But that won't be easily adjustable to various size pots, so it won't work exactly like the boil boss.

It’s adjustable because of the swinging brackets. That wouldn’t be too hard to do.

You can cut PVC pipe of this gauge to size with a kitchen knife or scissors. So yeah, easily adjustable.
