Headed to The Blue Ridge, GA area in mid December and i was looking to some good recommendations to dine and have drinks. We are willing to travel a night or two from this area for dinner and sightseeing as well. TIA

Helen, Ga is a fun day trip from Ellijay. The town is setup like an Alpine village. Very touristy, but fun for a day with nice scenery on the drive.

We ate there on our most recent trip for dinner. Service was good, but the food was average at best. Our brunch at the Black Sheep was excellent and would try dinner there instead.

Blue Ridge has a new brewery. It opened recently and has a cool venue that overlooks the town: Tipping Point. Beers were OK. Venue was cool. Grumpy Old Men Brewing is on the edge of town. Beer is better, but the venue is not.

Not really sure about a casual spot. I remember eating at the sports bar there once time and it was good.
