Blue Pants Brewery

So I stopped by Kroger on the way home yesterday and picked up some Amber Ale from Blue Pants. I go to enjoy one last night and every drink I took it seemed to foam up in my mouth. I couldnt handle it so I poured it in a cup and barely poured any and it foamed out of the cup. I eventually waited until the foam went down and it seemed watered down or off.
So, did I get some bad beer? I actually talked to a big beer guy here at work and he said some of his Blue Pants (Pils) was similar. He eventually had to throw his out. This ever happened to anyone else?
ETA: Going to try another one tonight to see if it was just that one, but I could only drink one last night it was so bad.

Every single non-funky beer I have gotten from them has been infected. Gav them a chance a few times, but it never worked out. That said, their funky and sour stuff is good because it's already intentionally infected.

When a beer unintentionally contains a micro-organism other than brewers yeast.
This can result in an unpredictable combination of 'off' flavors, acidity/sourness, and/or over carbonation.

Safe to assume if one of the beers in a 6-pack was, all of them will be?

Difficult to say, completely depends on where in the fermentation/packaging process the infection was picked up.
only way to find out is to open them all.

Sometimes beers that aren't supposed to be infected with the bacteria that is used for brewing sour beers get infected. This happened to Goose Island recently when some of their Bourbon County brand beers got infected.
It is not harmful, but can give the beers an off taste or cause them to be overly carbonated. By the way, over-carbonation can lead to exploding bottles in rare cases.

Thanks fellas!
I will give it another go tonight and if it is not any better, I guess throw it out.

Same thing happened to me with their pils. Poured barely a sip in a cup and it foamed over.

Same thing with my beer tonight. Between the guy at my work and what I am reading here, I will not have any Blue Pants stuff again.

I've had beers from 2 different batches of their Weedy's DIPA. I've not seen so much variation between bottles, even in the same batch, as I've seen with this beer. They have quality control issues for sure.

I agree on that citra sour, it was quite tasty. Most of the beers that I've liked from Blue Pants are either their Chocolate Oatmeal Porter or one of the variations on their Pinstripe Stout. Most everything else has been pretty meh...
