If I were in the market I'd seriously consider one of these.

This has been in the works for a good while now and they've finally been released.

Why this over the more conventional and less expensive alternatives made out of ceramic?

The Blaze is 1" thick solid cast aluminum? The body has got to get hot as hell and stay hot for forever. My $250 Akron can get shot / dropped off a loading dock, doesn't mean it's better than ceramic....
