Santa brought me some black garlic for Christmas. How would you use it if it were yours?

I’ve been considering buying a food dehydrator mainly because I want to make black garlic. Let me know if it is worth it!

If it's worth it is up to you. I read up on it and to make black garlic like you're mentioning, it says you need fresh garlic----easy to find.

You need something to keep the temperature between 140-190 degrees and low humidity levels as it processes-----also easy to do.

However, to make black garlic, you need these conditions for several weeks, up to several months. Is it really worth all that????

If you have an old rice cooker you can make black garlic in it. Black garlic is also filled with antioxidants, eat a clove a day for good health.

No doubt there is a major time investment which is what makes buying black garlic so expensive. However, if it is just a matter of putting it in a dehydrator and setting it and then forgetting about it for a while, who cares?

Thanks for the rice cooker recommendation. I may try that. Will probably wait until this summer when I’m home every day. Not sure I feel comfortable leaving my old rice cooker on warm for 2 weeks while I’m gone to work all day.
