Bistro THAI in the Mall of La has the best tasting picture menu Chinese food in BR

Just a heads up to any other baws that enjoy sugar sauce laden fried "Chinese" food.
I know the place is supposed to be Thai but it has the best quick Chinese food around, imo. The black pepper chicken is money. Their noodles are udon style and are good for being the kind of place it is. The Thai chicken is also very good - it reminds me of Nine Dragon's Singapore chicken but with bigger pieces and a Thai twist.
There's never anyone there. The line is always at the other Chinese place that is 25 ft away.
I hate that it's in the mall, but it's at least clean and the people running it seem nice. Our grand kids will have no idea what a mall food court is.

Nine Dragon or 9 Dragon?
Is 9 Dragon now a Nashville hot chicken and juicy crab hood rat restaurant?

Yes. 9 Dragon Noodle House is no more and now just serves fried and boiled seafood and hot chicken. Its really a shame. They had some good items on their previous menu. It was one of my favorite Chinese places in town.

Sadly, yes. I actually really like Nine Dragon on Burbank too, even though it isn't creative like 9 Dragon Noodle House was. I just think they execute their picture menu Chinese food better than most.
Funny this thread.. I think the Chinese place in the mall that has been there for years is so good. They have Mongolian Chicken, but it isn't like the ones served anywhere else. I haven't had it in years, but I saw its on Waitr the other day, and it is tempting to order a big mall Chinese order.

I actually preferred 9DNH over Omi, although I know I'm in the minority. As for the OP, I had the pad Thai at Bistro THAI a couple months back and it was pretty solid.

It was more consistent and less expensive than Omi. Some nights Omi just wasnt firing on all cylinders.

Nine dragon Noodle House had a delicious kimchi and tofu soup that I miss. The Chang's that opened up in the Omi location is very good in my opinion.

Yes, the Mongolian Chicken at the other place is what i used to get every time I had to eat at the mall.
The black pepper chicken at Bistro Thai is superior, imo. (it's drenched in sauce and not dry like at most places0 It just tastes less cheap. It's hard to explain.
