On Coursey, in a building that has been many different eateries, now sits Bianka. It just opened this week, I heard it was a BBQ place, sounded OK, so we stopped. Let's just say they have a very long dress code posted on the board outside the door, you can't miss the symbol for "no firearms allowed".

If an establishment has to make a point of telling patrons that they can't bring in a gun, not my kind of place. I did get a chance to see the diners sitting on the 2nd floor patio, not a lot of Republican votes up there.

This is a much better location for the Boil & Roux crowd, it is not adjacent to a quiet residential neighborhood, so if they want to party hearty, they won't keep the boomers awake.

I had to look up what a hookah lounge is for, interesting. Are they mostly patronized by POC? That part of town is a BBQ desert, with all due respect for Jay's and Podnuh's, but I want the meat smoked, not me. That's what I was hoping for.

No, I said it is a better location for the type of noise and crowds that Boil & Roux attracted.

This is one of the reviews. If they can’t even get a “Henny Sangria” right then what can they even do. That’s going to be a no from me.

quote:

I had a Henny Sangria, French 75, Strawberry French 75 and Lemon Drop. I must say for the price of the drinks more alcohol should be used. I feel the slightest buzz after four drinks. Each drink had a distinctive flavor from the taste I had in mind. I am a bartender so I know drinks. I ordered the steak quesadillas. The quesadillas had too much cheese. I literally picked off a pile of cheese and they lacked flavor. I feel the ambiance is nice but for the prices the food and drink quality can be better. Kimberly was our server and she was great.

my brother in Christ you need to get out more. “Bianka Hooka Bar and Lounge” didn’t tip you off?

I can't argue with that, but I'm pretty old, 75, I get around about as much as I can.
