Usually rock solid, but this one had a very "chemical" taste.

Thought it was palate issue after having other bourbon, but even bad from the first drink.

Bought at Albertson's a week ago.

I would note the cork seemed loose when pulling it.

He got one bottle of bad liquor and he’s claiming the whole batch is bad. I wouldn’t be too concerned.

Bad single barrels are pretty common, especially when it's a shelfer and no one took the time to select it. Good lookin out OP

If it's a single barrel your bottle from Rouses would be completely different from his bottle from Albertsons.

Also, Bulleit has 10 different recipes (similar to another brand ), so their single barrels will vary even more so than most brands, but you wouldn't be the first person to get a bottle from a "bad" barrel.

Ya, I skipped over the single barrel part. Thought he was just talking about the generic $25 stuff.

Ok, so it’s just his bottle that’s “bad” right? Wouldn’t it be similar to getting a jug of bad
milk? It’s a one-off. Doesn’t mean everything from that producer’s run was bad,right?

Since it's the single barrel offering ut was probably a crap barrel which happens. So there are probably about 200 or so bottles released in the area that suck. So no not a reflection of bulliet as a whole....but some barrels really shouldn't be used for SiB release
