There is another tamale shop on the south frontage road of I 20 that I have not tried. Hope to one day, but Solly’s are fine.

It’s only “to go” on the frontage rd, I think?

Just got back from dinner at Gibbes in Learned. I’m stuffed to the gills.

They have good tamales. Not the best in the Delta good but not bad at all. Somehow i don’t think I’ve ever been to Solly’s. Need to change that.

And I’ll stand by my state my that the best hot tamales in America are sold at Walker’s in beautiful downtown St. Joseph LA.

Hmmm....maybe they just seemed smaller. We’d get a few when I was hunting south of Vicksburg.

Its good stuff for sure. My wife got pissed cause I tried to dig in while driving. There was tamale gravy all over her Jeep. It was worth it though.

Ate at Airport Grocery in Cleveland last night. Tamales were pretty good. Probably the biggest ones I’ve had, so if you want to be a glutton, that may be your spot. Weren’t as juicy as Hot Tamale Heaven and Crystal Grille though, so they can’t be in that top tier.

Ribs sucked also.

I think the AG ones are pretty good. And put on your big boy pants...they are 2x+ the normal size tamale.

Just made it back to BR. Ate an early lunch at Beechwood Steakhouse, and then stopped at the Lorman Country Store for their country buffet, since I’m not in that area very often. Chicken was pretty good but that place is filthy and none of the food (other than the chicken, which they had to refill once in a while) was fresh.
