The steak at Jane’s looks really good as well.

ETA: looks like they don’t always have that on the menu, my bad.

The best I’ve had in the area is the 14oz Ribeye Cap from Cafe Josephine, but it’s in Sunset, not Lafayette.

I ordered that thing once......it was like 80-90 bucks and huge....could have eaten on it for 2 meals....lol

It was tasty, but not $80-$90 tasty.

Imonelli and Cafe V.....

A really good one for sure.

Also, it's been a long time ago (maybe since before Cafe Josephine opened), but I remember the steak at Marcello's in Lafayette being pretty damn good as well.

Also, while not a cow steak, I would definitely give the lamb chops at Poseidon's a run if one hasn't already.

Agree.

I would add LaFonda. The filet is all I ever get there.

Ruth's and Marcello's also good.

Tsunami used to have a sumo ribeye (20+ oz tomahawk ribeye) that was incredible, but off the menu now due to high beef prices, but you can still ask and see if they have it.

Haven't been to Ruffino's in almost 2 years. Maybe someone can share their steak opinions from there...

I second Cafe Josephine

The filet at Carabas with the Marsala sauce is really good

Always like my steak at Texas Roadhouse

Ruth’s sizzling butter gives me diarrhea

I miss Strouds.

Just had the Mahtook Ribeye at Mazen’s last weekend and the cut was excellent quality and cooked perfectly medium rare.
