You ever go to Van's?
There was one on Whitney and Newton when we were still kids, eventually closed. The main ones were on General Meyer across from Auto Zone and Video Plus, and the other was on Behrman Hwy next to French Riviera gym.

Try living somewhere that doesn't have them.
All I know is that the ones at the LSU soccer stadium were very disappointing.

Depends on the type of ice, the way they shave it, the type of syrup used, and the way they pour their syrup.
If you grew up on NOLA snowballs, you'd know the difference if you had one in another city.

I go to the one at the intersection by Dutchtown Middle school all the time.
It's a cash cow and I'm jealous.
Sugar-free wedding cake, it has no nasty artificial aftertaste.
It's solid but the ice quality is inconsistent from day to day.
I notice people putting condensed milk in all the time.

Once in a blue moon, I'll get the chocolate snowball with condensed milk on top. It looked bad, but tastes great.
The place on Siegen makes a terrific chocolate snowball, with the legit Hershey's syrup (have to keep that kind refrigerated).

The only snowball I get with condensed milk is a cream ice cream. That is like crack to me. From either Droopy's, Plum Street, Hansen's or Sal's.

Can't go wrong with Casey's Snowballs in Metry.
I've never been to any of the ones here in B.R. I'll have to try the one outside of Brightside Bar & Grill soon.

No doubt...though I'm always up for Sal's as well.
