There's really no difference in quality of BBQ in the Southern states, IMO. Each region has its own style, and one is not better than the other.

Chopped pig sandwich at the Dixie Pig in Blytheville, Arkansas, is the bomb. I never drive by Blytheville without pulling in for a Q and order of fries.

cannot imagine anywhere being better than Big Bob Gibson's
maybe he got a little fame doing the bbq hosting but that white sauce bbq at that place near huntsville is terrible. i even went out of my way to go there and was terribly disappointed

really? those are all over nashville and thats like krystals..u go there to get a 99 cent pork bbq sandwich when you're drunk

i dont care for tn bbq much at all; about the only place i can stand here is jacks downtown because they're more of a tx-type bbq place. i'm a much bigger fan of brisket & sausage than i am of pork butt & ribs.

I ordered some Big Bob Gibson's sauce. Red sauce was great. I threw away the white sauce.

Very underrated in the world of BBQ. Also Carribean BBQ can be interesting.
