Want to try something different? Use some oyster sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper.

Mountains of kosher salt for 40 minutes at room temp. Remove salt and dry up all the water that has leaked out. Add black pepper. Cook.

agreed (if I put a steak sauce on it). The first time I cooked ribeyes for the in-laws my FIL put ketchup on his

Oh well, live and let live. I just can't understand why you'd ruin a ribeye with ketchup.

empty out pickle jar

pour pickle juice into plastic container

place ribeyes in the container with the pickle juice. the vinegar will tenderize the meat, and the salt will help it retain its moisture.

store in fridge overnight

rinse really well the next morning

let steak get to room temperature. VERY IMPORTANT

grill at 400 degrees for 6 minutes on each side

while grilling, make sauce of 2 parts tomato sauce, 1 part apple cider vinegar, 1 part light brown sugar, and 1 part honey. simmer down until it gets to thick consistancy

brush on ribeyes for last 2 mniutes on each side

let rest for 15 minutes

enjoy!

I don't marinate....just pepper and salt.

I have made this before and put over my steaks, and it was pretty awesome!

Chuck Wagon BBQ Sauce:

1 cup strong black coffee
1 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups onions, chopped
1/4 cup fresh jalapenos, minced
6 cloves garlic, minced

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for 25 minutes. Puree in a blender or food processor.

I've been wanting to make this one I saw the Pioneer Woman making one day when wife was watching her show....looked amazing!

well you can do it while steak is getting to room temp, while pit is heating up, and/or while steaks are grilling

time of preparation is not as important as attention to ingredients

i appreciate the review
