Some place in Waskom that has fried catfish and barbeque. I'm going blank on the name.

Bodacious BBQ - Longview
Dairy Palace - Canton
My favorite catfish buffet - Stacey's - is in Miller Grove.. a bit of a drive from I20 but worth it if time allows. Think there hours are limited.

And, buy some of the dry seasonings for the pinto beans and the meats, if you enjoy the food there. I love their pinto beans. I buy the sauce, as well.

That's a shame. As far as the one in TX, I haven't had better ribs from a bbq joint than from there.

I used to love Big Pines Lodge in Karnack/Uncertain TX, but i heard it burnt down
ETA: looks like it has been reconstructed... Damn good jalepeno hushpuppies (they are like 8" long)

I always tried to stop there when I had to go between Dallas and Shreveport.

Big Pines Lodge on Caddo Lake in Karnack does some good catfish. At least they did before they burned down.
I think they rebuilt it though.

Bodacious is miles better than Texas Best.
Jucy's in Tyler and Marshall has great burgers
Agree with El Lugar- great authentic mexican food.
There's an A&W somewhere along the way- I know it's a chain, but i think it's the only one on I-20 between Dallas and the Mississippi line.

Not a fan of Carl's Jr.
Sounds like I need to give Bodacious BBQ a try.
