Ten Ramen in Sylvan 30

Oni Ramen is a casual order at the counter...well...really computer touch screen place in Deep Ellum that is really good. Ten ramen is good as weel.
For sushi, there is Nobu and Uchi which are both great but pricey. I prefer Teppo on Lower Greenville as its a low key almost hole-n-the-wall place thats really good. Other good places are Tei-Tei on Henderson and Yutaka on McKinney.
Tei Ann is good for both ramen and sushi but again is pricey.

Oni is great for ramen.
Not in Dallas proper, but Sushi Sake in Richardson is fantastic sushi.

Have you been to Ku Sushi on Forest near the tollway? It gets good reviews but that's a long way for me to drive if its just so-so.

No, I haven't heard of it. I might be working over there in the next couple weeks. I'll go try it and let you know.

We can walk there to which makes it much mo betta.
A new ramen is opening soon on lower greenville where bbbop used to be and its getting a lot of hype, which can often be disappointing.
Hinodeya Ramen:

Founder Masao Kuribara is a native of Japan and fourth-generation ramen maker. What makes Hinodeya Ramen unique is that its chefs use dashi broth to make dashi-style ramen. It’s made with fish stock, bonito skipjack tuna (katsuo) and konbu seaweed, instead of chicken or pork stock. The menu includes house ramen, clam ramen, chicken ramen and vegan ramen.
The first location outside of Japan opened in San Francisco in 2016. It’s expanded to an additional restaurant in San Francisco since then and this will be its first outside of California.

nice nice.. I know some people may think Dallas might not have the best food in the world.. but moving here from a smaller town I gotta say I'm in heaven. I've tried to eat at a different kind of place every night and I'm loving it.
Although I did have one $1 street taco place that was legit the worst meal of my life. everything else has been great

Tanoshii in Deep Ellum is my personal favorite. Went recently and met the owner. He's a Japanese restaurateur who also owns a couple of spots in NYC. The most delicious, delicate broth I've ever had.
Oni also mentioned here is very good.

Live right by Teppo as well and haven’t tried it yet. I might need to go this weekend.

Do it! Speaking of good joints in the hood, Louie's Pizza is a must. It's a dive bar with great, super thin pizza. It's the kind of place that if you go there enough, the bar tenders put your drink on the bar as you are sitting down. Unfortunately Louie passed away 5 years or so ago. But his brother runs the kitchen, his kids work there and his mom keeps the books.

Love Louie’s and I’ve been craving pizza so might have to revisit.
