Domenica is just "real" italian stuff instead of spaghetti and meatballs. It is really one of my favorite places in the city. GREAT pizza and pastas. Proscuitto Pizza + Gnocchi. Yes.

Might just go there, that way I have a quick escape to go back to the room for more booty.

if you really want in to be special do either August ir Commanders. Domenica is more of a Friday night dinner than a special dinner.

I agree. Hell I saved probably $60 bringing my own bottle of wine

true. I was pretty sure this was a troll with the cruise honeymoon but he sounds like he wants a legit meal on his wedding night

Gotta start somewhere

I'd find it hard to believe that they wouldn't appreciate a meal at a place like August or Commander's

That is a source of much debate. I've actually never been as I never had the desire to.

Most people I have seen would tell you that August or Stella are better at similar price points.

I also went to Le Foret the night I was engaged, and it was wonderful.

You can't go wrong there.

If you can swing it (and trust me, I couldn't most of the time), the tasting menu with wine pairings is unbelievable.

don't let the amuse throw you off .. the whole menu isn't as outside the box as the amuse would suggest.

my aunt and uncle went once and claim they didn't like august, but their sole reasoning is because of that first little taste .. it just stuck in their heads I guess.

trout ponchartrain ftw btw

im just saying man

put a little effort into it. The whole menu for Domenica has the english translations right underneath them.

if your wife loves Italian she'll love it.

you're more of an Emeril's type than August.

thank me later

Emeril's is awesome and a little more traditional (aka things you can pronounce)

Emeril's is a little more straightforward, menu wise. (That's just from looking at Emeril's menu in the past. As I said, I've never been).
