Spoiler - 6.8 for Red Zeppelin. Seems about right. I guessed 6.7, so I was pretty on target. Did he try any other places while he was here? I'd like to see what he rates Roma's Pizza. I think that's the closest to what he likes in the Baton Rouge area.

I was sad to see the 6.8. I love Red Zeppelin but honestly only have local places to compare it to. All of the local pizza places have something unique that I can enjoy. I just dont know what a 9 tastes like

BR pizza scene sucks and always has. As a student I used to dig Fleur de Lis, but that was just because of its unique style, it wouldn’t rate well

He basically said it got a 6.8 because he gave the atmosphere over a 9. He said average it out.

I think you misinterpreted what he said. He was saying the atmosphere was a 9 while the pizza was a 6.8. So he told the viewer to take the average of that for an overall. It was his way of being nice and telling people to go there when he doesn't much care for the pizza.

They are a lot better than anything the BR area has to offer. I’ve had Lucali’s in Brooklyn and it was amazing.

Grimaldis is the best pizza in the southeast

I ate there a few time when they were at the Mall of LA and thought it was fantastic. I guess it was too pricey for mall shoppers IDK.. but I wish they would've re-located somewhere else in BR.

6.8 isn't horrible. I love red zep but it is more cause it is a great spot to catch a few beers with serviceable pizza.

Ahh ok. I thought he meant the 6.8 WAS the average.

No pizza in BR meets el Présidente’s standards. Most BR pizza would earn a 3-4.5 rating

Fat Boy's pizza has zero flavor to it whatsoever.
Also looks like Red Zeppelin is the only BR pizza review. He gave up after that mediocrity.

I feel like the specialty pizzas are where RZ shines, and a plain cheese pie just isn’t what you go there for. Crust looked uncharacteristically floppy too, usually it’s got a little more body than that.

Dave likes crispy thin crust pizza. If its soft and chewy he will hate it
If so Rocca would have been the place for him.

I agree, since i was 10 years old ive never ordered a plain cheese pizza, not sure why all the pizza snobs only eat cheese pizza, its literally food for children

I had Roma a few weeks ago since it's by my office, it was amazing. Very greasy though.

Did Omar train whomever bought Roma's? I used to go to Pville for his pies and make small talk about the upper seaboard.

I was the only person in there when I went bc it was 11 am, and yes I'm assuming you're talking about the owner. He talked to me the whole time I waited for the pizza lol. Super nice guy.
