Best menu items at Parrain's?

Chargrilled oysters are a must.

I had the Ponchartrain. I thought the entree, itself, was very solid as the fish was paneed with Hollandaise and crabmeat. I devoured it. The garlic mash was a bit dry and tasted like Applebee's/Benningan's quality, though. Also had a dozen raw - well-sized and tasty.

GF and mom both had the friend shrimp. Neither were a fan of the rice and meat casserole as a side dish, but all else was gobbled. Huge portions for both, too.

My dad had the Fried Oyster Caesar salad and loved it.

The house salads were also very good and the ranch was very tasty and not poured from a bottle like some places get away with doing.

Overall, I give it a solid 3/4.

Not a big fan of Parrain's, but chargrilled oysters and pork chop are the two best items on the menu.

My gf and I go and get the fried boudin balls and alligator and cup of gumbo
