Was it called Harold & Belle's by any chance? Some of my family are partners in that restaurant.

Zydeco Poboys just opened a couple months ago in downtown Las Vegas only a block away from the scummy joint known as the El Cortez. LINK

Henry's Louisiana Grill in Acworth, GA. Have no idea if it would be respected by Louisiana people or not, but it is delicious.

I vote Evangeline Cafe in Austin.

There's a few good Louisiana places here in ATX (Shoal Creek, Stuffed). Gotta be the relative proximity to Gulf or even Acadiana.

I went to a jazz brunch at Acadiana in DC and was impressed. Certainly not that authentic local spot feel but the food was delicious and the experience memorable.

This. Super legit. Owner is from Creole, La.

I need to go by there to try the shrimp poboy, but everything so far has been great.

Deer Valley Resort - Park City Utah

The Seafood Buffet

May not qualify as a Louisiana or Cajun experience - but the seafood is damn good.

I like Stuffed the best out of the places in Austin. But I'm a big plate lunch fan.

I went to Evangeline and ordered the jambalaya, it was good not great, more of a creole style than Ascension Parish.

I've only been to Shoal Creek to drink but the food didn't look all that special.

This.

Also, Cafe Rian in Humble, TX. Etouffee is damn frickin good. No restaurant in Houston does it better. Their maque choux is also spot-on. Boudin balls are the best in Houston, but they use a frying technique and batter that creates a much crisper outer shell than the best LA balls.
