Zorba's for Greek. Albasha for Middle Eastern. Cafe Phonecia is pretty good for Middle Eastern if you're in Central or Denham Springs.

Albasha,
There's this little place on North BLVD downtown that's good too...
Sadaq or something

Not the original on Government. They have some express places which aren't that good and a restaurant on Corporate but it's not as good as Albasha.

Albasha is good, but if you're in Gonzales go to Rende's Quick Stop. Probably the best chicken shawarma I've ever had.

I must confess, I’ve been away from Baton Rouge for 8 years now. Is Akasha Market still there next to Ingas and Chinese Combo king on chimes street? That place was the bomb.

Akasha. Used to be $5 for a salad and wrap with a choice of gyro or chicken.

Can't go wrong with Albasha.
Wasn't there a place next to Christian Street Market? Seems like there was a restaurant around there that was the shite.

I've probably spent enough on Chicken Shawarma (at Albasha) over the years to put a kid through college.
My wife and I get a combo plate takeout and split it almost every week. It's plenty of food for 2 people.
