We have three kids under five years old and the crock pot we got when first married is too small to cook portions large enough for everyone now.

Reminds me - few times a year I go to Goodwill to check for vintage stereo/hifi gear and I always see 3-5 small crock pots, IE pre-marital or pre-kids. They're always very cheap, $5 or less, and I brought a few home until I was told to lay off. At this point we have 2-3 crock pots at home, camp, mom & dad's place, etc...

Crazy though that all these decent used crock pots are sitting around.

I now do everything in my instant pot. It has a slow cooker function that works the same as a crockpot.

I put a pork roast in there this morning. Browned it in the instant pot on all sides. Added my Veg and seasoning. Turned it to slow cook function. Off to work and will be ready when I get home.

I have one that now sits in a cabinet and takes up space.

I asked a very similar question on this board about 2 weeks ago. I have a family of 6, with 4 kids under the age of 9. Went with the 10-qt Instant Pot. I think I paid $150 at Best Buy. Cooked a stuffed, 4lb beef roast in 2 hours yesterday. Super tender. I'm happy with the purchase.
