Good call. Also Rocky & Carlos, but they open near lunchtime where Arabi Food Store opens much earlier.

Yah that's why I suggested it over rocky's (even though I still like some poboys at old arabi than rocky's).

Also if your going down the road idk when green store opens, but that's what down the roads folks said was the best poboy place...

Another good one in chalmette proper is Tags...if it's still open across from chalmette high

The best way to spend a fall Saturday afternoon is smoking a j while listening to Latin hour on WWOZ enroute to nom down on a shrimp poboy from old Arabi food store.

I was down that way just a week ago and Tags is still there. Gene Tag, the original owner retired and it's now run by his kin----sons I believe.

I always stop at Today’s Ketch on the way back. A few fresh boiled crabs and either a shrimp or oyster poboy! Their crabs are amazing.
