The winner hands down for BR is Ronnies, smoked being the best of the best, Ronnies regular comes in 2nd and Jerry Lees is 3rd..........

I know for a FACT that Chris's Meats gets their Boudin from Ronnies and Ronnies gets their stuffed birds from Chris's. No matter what they tell you at the store, it's a fact PERIOD!

OF course it makes sense for them to deny it, why would a place that hypes themselves as a Specialty Meat mkt admit they don't make their own boudin.

Villions (probably spelling it wrong) in glavez used to make a rice less boudin that would knock your socks off. They quit about 10 months ago though as it was a slow mover off the shelf. I know they also had some issues in their prep room that ended up in a recall last fall or so. Thats the 2nd time the boudin got contaminated. I hope that issue has been resolved for good.

I think you are referring to Veron's (on 929 in Prairieville) which is a complete different place that sells to grocery stores, and the problem they had last year was with head cheese and they no longer make that product. I was referring to Vellions which is a convince store on 44 and 933, and they make boudin, sausage, head cheese, andouille, and boudin in house and sell t in a make shift deli window. I prefer Jerry Leas to it but is a nice option to not have to drive across town to get some

You're right. He has Veron's in mind. They had a contamination problem. I eat Veillion's all the time. No problems there. Love a link with a small bottled Coca Cola.
