Is Crazy Johnny's any good?

Some would say it's crazy good.
They may start earlier in the morning and later in the afternoon BUT this hear is typical of what we get each summer. Granted it's hot earlier this year but when august rolls around it will be normal august temps mid to upper 90's with a few spike days...

you can't base your entire fall practices on just the first game.

Armadillo

If you are a fan of documentaries about war do yourself a favor and check out Armadillo. It is one great piece of work.

Heres a little from IMDB:
In February 2009 a group of Danish soldiers accompanied by documentary filmmaker Janus Metz arrived at Armadillo, an army base in the southern Afghan province of Helmand. Metz and cameraman Lars Skree spent six months following the lives of young soldiers situated less than a kilometer away from Taliban positions. The outcome of their work is a gripping and highly authentic war drama that was justly awarded the Grand Prix de la Semaine de la Critique at this year's Cannes film festival. But it also provoked furious debate in Denmark concerning the controversial behavior of certain Danish soldiers during a shootout with Taliban fighters. The filmmakers repeatedly risked their lives shooting this tense, brilliantly edited, and visually sophisticated probe into the psychology of young men in the midst of a senseless war whose victims are primarily local villagers. Yet more disturbing than scenes in which Taliban bullets whiz past their cameras is the footage of the young soldiers as each tries, in his own way, to come to terms with putting his life constantly on the line. Written by Karlovy Vary Int'l Film Festival

and heres the trailer Armadillo Trailer

re: best boudin in baton rouge area?

Posted by Uncle E on 6/13/11 at 3:58 pm to
The winner hands down for BR is Ronnies, smoked being the best of the best, Ronnies regular comes in 2nd and Jerry Lees is 3rd..........

I know for a FACT that Chris's Meats gets their Boudin from Ronnies and Ronnies gets their stuffed birds from Chris's. No matter what they tell you at the store, it's a fact PERIOD!

OF course it makes sense for them to deny it, why would a place that hypes themselves as a Specialty Meat mkt admit they don't make their own boudin.

Villions (probably spelling it wrong) in glavez used to make a rice less boudin that would knock your socks off. They quit about 10 months ago though as it was a slow mover off the shelf. I know they also had some issues in their prep room that ended up in a recall last fall or so. Thats the 2nd time the boudin got contaminated. I hope that issue has been resolved for good.

The stuffed breads at The Creole House are a winner!!!
